In 2007, he received a Masters degree in Organic Chemistry from Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India.

He completed his PhD at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), India, in 2013 under the Guidance of Dr. R.M. Kumbhare. He worked on the Multicomponent synthesis of novel heterocyclic moleculesand their bioactive applications.

In February 2014, he joined as a postdoctoral fellow at South West University's School of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, Chongqing, China, under the supervision of Prof . Zhou Cheng He. He has worked till 2016 November. He is holding two international patents and has a total of 30 publications to his credit.

After Post-Doc, Dr. Vijay continued his career in China, and in 2016, he joined as an Associate researcher at Sichuan University, Chengdu , in the area of Supramolecular chemistry & worked till 2019 March.

Also, he has guided eight students on their dissertation projects. Four came from master's level pharmaceutical students and four from master's level organic chemistry students .

Awards: 1) Received the Young Scientist Award from the Andhra Pradesh government (APCOST) in 2009-10. 2) Received an International fellowship for young scientists, which is supported by the International Cooperation and Exchange Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 81450110094) in 2015.

For several years, he worked as a Research scientist for various pharmaceutical companies in Hyderabad.

Later, he became a Member of the Board of Directors at Shreyasvi Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd. in Nacharam,, where he is working as Head of Business Development.
